$10,000 Grant Award for the “Restoration 66” Project

Coastline ROP was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Collectors Foundation for the Laguna Hills High School Automotive Technology program.  The grant project, titled “Restoration 66:  Connecting Students with Cars, History, Family & Community,” will provide students with an opportunity to use project-based learning to restore a 1966 truck, understand the value of restoration, research the historical aspect of cars and explore the associated careers available in the field of automotive restoration.  The grant will cover expenses related to purchasing auto parts and related equipment.

Thank you to the Collectors Foundation, an educational grant-making organization founded by Hagerty Insurance and funded by collector vehicle and classic boat enthusiasts to serve youth development and the long-term interests of the collector vehicle and classic boat communities.  Established in 2005, the Foundation awards scholarships and grants to organizations that are committed to hands-on education.  More information about the Foundation can be found on its website:  www.collectorsfoundation.org.
